Dragon fruit

Low histamine

Dragon fruit is one of the more histamine-friendly tropical fruits, with no known histamine-triggering mechanisms.

Dragon fruit doesn't contain meaningful histamine and isn't known to trigger your body's own histamine release.

  • Tropical but gentle — unlike some tropical fruits like pineapple or papaya, which are widely listed as problematic on histamine sensitivity lists, dragon fruit doesn't share that same reputation — though the exact reasons those fruits cause difficulty for some people aren't firmly established

  • Pink vs. white flesh — both varieties are considered low-histamine, so this is largely a matter of personal taste rather than tolerance

It's a solid fruit choice if you're building a lower-histamine diet and want some variety.
