Palm oil

Low histamine

A plain plant-based fat with no known histamine content or histamine-triggering properties.

Palm oil is extracted directly from the fruit pulp and doesn't involve fermentation or aging.

  • Simple extraction — as a pure fat with negligible protein content, there's very little present to generate histamine during processing

  • Similar to palm kernel fat — both come from the same plant but differ in fatty acid profile; both are generally considered low-histamine

Stored properly away from heat and light, palm oil typically remains a safe, neutral choice.

Track your reactions to palm oil in Histamine Tracker. Log meals and symptoms to spot the patterns that matter for your body.
