Maltodextrin

Low histamine

A highly processed starch-derived powder with no known histamine activity — generally well tolerated.

Maltodextrin is a neutral carbohydrate filler with no fermentation history or known histamine-related properties.

  • What it is — a processed starch (often from corn or wheat) used as a filler or thickener; it doesn't contain histamine or trigger its release

  • Worth noting — some people with sensitive digestion report gut reactions to maltodextrin, but this appears unrelated to histamine

It's one of the less concerning additives from a histamine standpoint.
