Coconut flour

Low histamine

Coconut flour is low in histamine and a reliable grain-free option with no known histamine-related concerns.

Made from dried, ground coconut flesh, this flour is minimally processed and generally very well-tolerated.

  • No aging or fermentation — the drying process used to make coconut flour doesn't create conditions for histamine to build up, unlike fermented or aged foods

  • Distinct from other coconut products — plain coconut flour is different from coconut aminos or fermented coconut products, which may have different histamine profiles

It absorbs a lot of liquid, so recipes written for it specifically tend to work best.
